……..ALRIGHTY THEN. Keeping with the backwards tour through our European trek, before we played Scotland’s T in the Park and Ireland’s Oxygen Festival… we played two Paris shows in three days with one show being at the La Fleche d’Or and the other at Le Zenith.
La Fleche d”Or is a small club in Paris…
The French are sneaky and they showed their nimbleness by stealthily dodging Whigs gear as we rolled it through the streets.
Still recovering from an all night drive from Holland to Milan a few nights before, Joel’s actions spoke for all of us as we prepared our stomachs for a welcomed invasion by La Fleche d’Or’s kitchen.
I really have no grounds for complaining about exhaustion during the European run. DAVE is THE MAN and drove our sorry souls all day, everyday and often through the night.
So anyway, we showed up at Le Zenith for a rock show with Kings of Leon & MGMT. Le Zenith holds 6,000 folks and was sold out on this particular night. YE-AH!!!!!!!
In addition to being musicians, we also possess the ability to take pictures of ourselves while in the act of performing….
in other words, thanks to Joel for taking these photos…
Whigs ROCK +
MGMT ROCK + …
Kings of Leon ROCK =
Seriously, Paris does rock. That is with the exception of our Mr. Bed City (name of our hotel) receptionist who told us to walk 10 minutes down the road when we asked him where we could find some late night food. Upon our hungry return from the very, very closed restaurants, he simply smiled and said that they weren’t open at that late of an hour. But, that they do serve food. Just earlier.
THANK YOU for the info sir.
